Unfortunately, she developed tummy discomfort, went several days without having a bowel movement, and her stool became green. Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed Stage 2 Instructions
Wash your hands and sterilise the feeding bottle and teat as you normally would. The milk inside the bottle is already sterile; the bottle you pour it into is not.
Check the best-before date and shake the bottle well. Whole milk fat can settle while the bottle sits on the shelf, and a good shake brings it back.
Pour the amount your baby needs into the sterilised feeding bottle. Serve at room temperature, or warm it by standing the feeding bottle in warm water or a bottle warmer. Never use a microwave; it heats unevenly.
Test a drop on the inside of your wrist before feeding. Use a poured feed within two hours, or within one hour of your baby starting it, then discard what is left. Cap the opened bottle, refrigerate it and use it within 24 hours.
Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed Stage 2 Storage
- Unopened bottles are shelf-stable. Keep them somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight, and go by the best-before date printed on each bottle.
- Once opened, cap the bottle, refrigerate it and use it within 24 hours.
- Do not freeze ready-to-feed milk, and do not reuse milk your baby has left in the feeding bottle.
- Ready-to-feed milk is complete as poured. Do not dilute it with water or add anything to it.
- Do not prepare feeds in advance. Pour at feeding time, and use a poured feed within 1 hour of your baby starting it.
- Any milk left in the feeding bottle after a feed must be discarded and not reused.
- Warm bottles in warm water or a bottle warmer, never in a microwave, and always test the temperature on your wrist first.
- Unopened bottles should not be used after the best-before date printed by the manufacturer. Once opened, use within 24 hours from the fridge.

What Is Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed Stage 2?
Kendamil Organic Follow On Milk Ready to Feed is an organic Stage 2 powder, mixed with water, UHT-sterilized, and sealed at the factory. It is made for babies from 6 months who already eat solid food. If your baby is younger, choose Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed Stage 1 instead.
In the UK, the bottles come in packs of six. We sell them by the bottle, in bundles of 6, 18, 36 and 72. Kendamil USA sells powder only, so we import the UK bottles and ship them to your door from our EU warehouse.
Kendamil’s feeding guide suggests about a pint of milk a day once solids are going, which is roughly 500 to 600ml. With Kendamil Organic Stage 2 200ml bottles, that works out to 2.5 to 3 bottles a day, a simple number to plan around.
Using the tin at home? The Kendamil Organic Stage 2 powder is the same recipe in dry form, so the two work side by side.
What Changes From Organic Stage 1 to Stage 2?
Less than you might expect. The published ingredient list is the same as the organic Stage 1 bottle; only the balance shifts.
Iron goes up from 0.7mg to 0.8mg per 100ml. Protein rises from 1.4g to 1.5g, and the extra 0.1g is casein, so the whey-to-casein ratio shifts from 57:43 to 53:47. Lactose and vitamin A come down slightly. Energy, fat, and DHA stay the same.
Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed 6-12 months is rebalanced. The recipe your baby already knows stays the same, and only the proportions change.

Why Does Follow-On Milk Have More Iron?
Babies are born with iron stores that last for roughly the first six months. Around the time solids begin, those stores start running low, and iron has to come from the diet. That is why UK and EU rules set a higher minimum iron level for follow-on milk. It is also why Kendamil Organic Follow On Milk Ready to Feed carries 0.8mg per 100ml instead of 0.7mg.
That said, a 0.1mg step is small. Iron-rich first foods do most of the work: well-cooked meat, lentils, beans, eggs and fortified cereals. The milk helps more calmly as well. It’s 9 mg of vitamin C per 100 ml, which supports iron absorption from food eaten at the same meal.
You do not have to switch. You can use the first infant milk through the whole first year. If your pediatrician has raised iron as a concern, talk it through with them before changing anything.
Is the Bottle the Same as Kendamil Organic Stage 2 Powder?
Nutritionally, yes. Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed Stage 2 matches the prepared powder on energy, fat, protein, iron, zinc, DHA, ARA, taurine and inositol. The small gaps in calcium, vitamin D, GOS, and nucleotides come down to rounding.
The bottle only adds what a sealed liquid needs to stay stable: water, organic lactose, citric acid, organic sunflower lecithin, L-phenylalanine and L-tryptophan. That makes it easy to use powder at home and a bottle in the diaper bag. Just never mix the two in the same feed.

Feeding Alongside Solids: How Many Bottles a Day and a Month?
From six months, milk sits alongside meals rather than replacing them. A few habits make the routine easier:
- Offer 2 to 3 milk feeds a day, spaced around meals.
- From about 8 to 9 months, give solids first at lunch and dinner, then milk afterward.
- Introduce a free-flow or open cup from 6 months. It is kinder to teeth and makes the move away from bottles at 12 months easier.
- Use poured milk within 2 hours, or within 1 hour once your baby starts drinking.
