Kendamil Classic Ready to Feed Stage 3 is Kendamil's toddler milk for children from 12 months, ready to drink in 200ml (6.8 fl oz) bottles. Whole milk is the first ingredient, ahead of water, and the recipe adds iron, calcium, vitamins A, C and D, GOS and FOS prebiotics and algae DHA to a base that is otherwise close to plain milk. Kendamil added it to the ready-to-feed range in June 2026, in packs of six. We sell the bottles individually in bundles of 18, 36 and 72.
It is a toddler milk, not an infant formula: it is not suitable under 12 months, and it is not a meal replacement. The organic version is Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed Stage 3; the tin this bottle mirrors is Kendamil Classic Stage 3.
What Kendamil Toddler Milk Is For
After the first birthday the job of milk changes. Food becomes the main source of energy and nutrients, and milk drops to a supporting role of roughly 300-500ml a day. Health services in both the UK and the US say plain whole cow's milk is fine as that drink from 12 months, and we agree; a toddler milk is optional.
Where it earns its place is iron and vitamin D. Toddlers are the age group most likely to run short of iron, and cow's milk contains almost none, while a toddler who drinks a lot of it can end up eating less iron-rich food. Vitamin D is the other gap, especially in northern winters. Kendamil Stage 3 provides 0.9mg of iron and 0.7µg of vitamin D per 100ml along with 121mg of calcium, and it does so with less protein than cow's milk and with DHA and prebiotics that milk does not have. For a fussy eater, a child who is slow to take to solids, or a family that wants a bedtime bottle to carry some nutrition, it is a reasonable choice. For a toddler eating well, it is a convenience rather than a need.
Kendamil Toddler Ready to Feed vs Whole Cow's Milk
| Per 100ml |
Kendamil Classic Ready to Feed Stage 3 |
Whole cow's milk (typical) |
| Energy | 65 kcal | About 65 kcal |
| Protein | 1.8g | About 3.4g |
| Fat | 2.8g | About 3.6g |
| Iron | 0.9mg | About 0.03mg |
| Vitamin D | 0.7µg | Trace, unless fortified |
| Calcium | 121mg | About 120mg |
| DHA | 8.5mg | None |
| Prebiotics | 0.21g GOS, 0.02g FOS, 0.108g galactosyllactose | None |
| Vitamin C | 12mg | About 1mg |
Two things stand out. The calcium is the same, so this is not a calcium play. And the protein is about half that of cow's milk, which brings it closer to the level toddlers actually need and is one reason toddler milks are sometimes preferred for children who drink a lot of milk.
Kendamil Classic Ready to Feed Stage 3 Ingredients
Whole milk, water, skimmed milk, lactose (from milk), less than 2% of: vegetable oils (sunflower, rapeseed, coconut), galacto-oligosaccharides (from milk), calcium phosphate, potassium hydroxide, oil from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp., oil from Mortierella alpina, vitamin C, fructo-oligosaccharides, calcium citrate, iron pyrophosphate, nucleotides (cytidine-5'-monophosphoric acid, sodium salts of uridine-5'-phosphoric acid, adenosine-5'-phosphoric acid, sodium salts of inosine-5'-phosphoric acid, sodium salts of guanosine-5'-phosphoric acid), vitamin E, zinc sulphate, niacin, copper sulphate, vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6, folic acid, pantothenic acid, magnesium chloride, manganese sulphate, potassium iodide, vitamin K, sodium selenite, biotin, vitamin D3, vitamin B12, acidity regulator: citric acid, sodium chloride, emulsifier (sunflower lecithin).
Allergens: contains milk. There is no palm oil, no fish oil and no soy. Everything after the lactose is under 2% of the recipe; the bottle is, by weight, mostly whole milk. The nucleotides (2.7mg per 100ml) and the 0.108g of galactosyllactose (3'-GL, 4'-GL and 6'-GL, the milk-derived oligosaccharides Kendamil describes as HMOs) carry over from the powder, and the typical values per 100ml are within rounding of the tin: 65 kcal against 64, 1.8g protein, 121mg calcium and 0.9mg iron in both, 8.5mg DHA against 8.8mg. The only additions are water, citric acid as an acidity regulator and sunflower lecithin as an emulsifier, which is what keeps whole milk fat evenly mixed in a sealed bottle.
How and When to Serve It
- One bottle is one serving. 200ml is a sensible toddler portion. One or two a day, for example with breakfast and before bed, keeps milk in its supporting role.
- Cup first. From 12 months most guidance favours an open or free-flow cup rather than a bottle, to protect teeth. The bottle pours cleanly into a cup. If bedtime is still a bottle in your house, brush teeth afterwards.
- Cold, room temperature or warm. Kendamil says serve at room temperature or warmed, and an opened bottle keeps in the fridge for 24 hours, so chilled is fine too. To warm, stand it in warm water; skip the microwave.
- Shake before pouring. Whole milk fat settles.
- Discard leftovers from a cup or feeding bottle within two hours. Unopened bottles need no refrigeration; store them cool and dry.
Classic vs Organic Toddler Ready to Feed
Kendamil makes both, in the same 200ml bottle, and they are not interchangeable copies of each other.

If calcium is the priority, the Classic bottle has more of it. If DHA, vitamin D and organic farming matter more, the organic bottle wins on all three. Both are whole milk based and palm oil free.
Bundles and Shelf Life
Toddlers use far fewer bottles than babies. One or two 200ml servings a day is 30 to 60 bottles a month, so an 18 or 36 bottle bundle covers most families for two to four weeks, and the 72 bundle is a two-month supply for a two-a-day household. Unopened bottles are shelf-stable; check the best-before date on each, which is printed in the European day/month/year order. Kendamil describes its ready-to-feed range as made in Europe for the company, with Kendal Nutricare in Kendal named on the pack as the manufacturer.
Kendamil Classic Ready to Feed Stage 3 FAQ – Everything Parents Want to Know
Is the Kendamil toddler bottle the same as the Stage 3 powder?
Very close. The bottle and the tin share the same ingredient approach and nearly identical typical values per 100ml: 65 kcal against 64, 1.8g protein, 121mg calcium and 0.9mg iron in both. The bottle adds water, citric acid as an acidity regulator and sunflower lecithin so it stays stable on the shelf.
Can my toddler drink it cold from the fridge?
Yes. Kendamil says to serve at room temperature or warmed, and an opened bottle keeps in the fridge for 24 hours. Many toddlers are happy with it chilled; if yours prefers it warm, stand it in warm water rather than microwaving it.
Should toddler milk go in a bottle or a cup?
By 12 months most health guidance favours a cup, open or free-flow, to protect teeth. The 200ml bottle pours neatly into a cup; a bedtime feed can still be a bottle if that is what works for your child, ideally followed by teeth brushing.
Does Kendamil Stage 3 contain HMOs?
It contains 0.108g per 100ml of galactosyllactose (3'-GL, 4'-GL and 6'-GL), the milk-derived oligosaccharides Kendamil describes as HMOs, alongside 0.21g of GOS and 0.02g of FOS.
Is Kendamil Classic toddler milk organic?
No. Classic is Red Tractor assured rather than organic certified. Kendamil also makes an organic version of this bottle, Kendamil Organic Ready to Feed Stage 3, which we stock separately.
